Common questions
What does the AI actually do?
Three jobs, all kicked off by you:
- Parse meals into macros — from a description, a photo, or a barcode scan.
- Look up restaurant itemswhen an order isn't already in the seeded library.
- Write a weekly recap — your Coach reads sleep, training, mood, and macros and gives you three concrete suggestions for next week.
It never edits your goals or logs anything without you confirming first.
Is my data private?
Your meals, workouts, weights, and notes are private to your account by default. The only data anyone else can see is what you explicitly enable on your public profile (Profile → Identity). Achievements, follows, and feed events all respect those toggles.
Do I need an iPhone for sleep + heart-rate data?
No. Apple Health is the simplest path on iOS (zip-export upload, or a daily Apple Shortcut that auto-syncs). Other wearable integrations work on any platform with a browser — see the next question for the current list.
What wearables do you support?
Two, currently — Apple Health and Garmin. Apple Health also offers a daily Shortcut. Garmin's paid Health API isn't required — drop a .fit file from Garmin Connect and Honedly imports your workout with HR, GPS, and pace. Full per-vendor walkthrough at /help/wearables.
Which restaurants are pre-loaded?
26 chains and counting: Chipotle, Sweetgreen, Cava, Panera, Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Subway, Taco Bell, McDonald's, Wendy's, Five Guys, In-N-Out, Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings, Shake Shack, Domino's, Pizza Hut, Cheesecake Factory, IHOP, Denny's, Dunkin', Jersey Mike's, Wingstop, Raising Cane's, Panda Express, and Texas Roadhouse. Anything not pre-loaded, the Pro AI can look up macros for on demand.
Can I import from MyFitnessPal / Cronometer?
Not yet. The AI meal logger (Pro) is good enough that most people rebuild a week of data in 15 minutes. A formal CSV importer is on the wishlist.
Can I plan my whole week in one sitting?
Yes. Pick recipes for the week on /plan, and Honedly rolls them into an aisle-grouped grocery list (exportable as .ics or AnyList text) and a Claude-generated prep guide that tells you what to batch on Sunday and what to finish day-of.
Can my partner use it with me?
Yes. Households share one pantry, so the grocery list and what's-in-the-fridge view stay in sync. Each person's meals, workouts, goals, weight, and metrics stay private to their account.
On Pro+ you can also share your subscription with one household member as Pro+ for two — a single payment covers both of you for +$5/mo on top of Pro+. Both accounts get the full proactive Coach (Adaptive TDEE, daily brief, plateau detector, voice journal, AI weekly plan).
The setup is: both people sign up, the payer subscribes to Pro+, starts a household from Profile → Preferences → Household, invites the partner, then adds them as a Pro+ seat from Settings → Billing. Full walkthrough at /help/household-sharing.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free covers everything most people need: manual meal + workout logging, full macro and micronutrient tracking, the curated recipe library, every supported wearable integration, the readiness score, built-in workout programs, and read-only access to last week's Coach insight.
Pro adds the AI on top — photo-to-macros, voice + text meal logging, recipe generation from your pantry, URL recipe import, restaurant lookup, AI prep plans, meal swap suggestions, and fresh weekly Coach insights.

Will it stay free?
The Free tier stays free forever — that's the deal. The tracker, full macros and micronutrients, custom recipes, every supported wearable, the readiness score, and read access to last week's Coach insight all stay on Free. Pro is $19.99/mo or $167.92/yr (~30% off). Pro+ adds the proactive Coach surface (Adaptive TDEE, daily brief, plateau detector, curated memory) and is $29/mo or $249/yr.
What's the difference between Pro and Pro+?
Pro unlocks the AI features you call on yourself — snap-a-meal, recipe generation, weekly insights, recipe-URL imports, etc. Pro+ is the proactive layer on top: Coach re-fits your calorie target weekly (Adaptive TDEE), writes you a one-tap morning brief, watches for plateaus + overreaching, and you can curate what Coach knows about you. Pro+ also gets a higher AI budget so the proactive surface doesn't share a cap with your on-demand calls. You can move between Pro and Pro+ in /settings/billing any time — proration handled automatically.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — from /settings/billing, no support email needed. You keep your current tier until the end of the period; after that you drop back to Free with your data intact. If you started on a trial and cancel before it ends, you're never charged.
Do you have a referral program?
Yes. Every account gets a personal invite link in /profile. Anyone who signs up through it gets bonus Pro time once paid pricing starts, and so do you.
